More than 100 pupils from the International School of the Algarve will be taking to the stage at the Auditorium in Lagoa for a performance of the Jungle Book on October 22 from 5.30pm.
The show is based on the Walt Disney film version of the Rudyard Kipling story and has been directed by the director of music at the school, Gita Nasta, who has been assisted by music teacher Bruno Rodrigues.
The cast is made up of pupils from both the National and International sections of the school, with the show originally being performed in the school gymnasium last summer but now being staged at the auditorium in Lagoa.
The performance of the Jungle Book is part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of the International School of the Algarve.
Head teacher John Butterworth said: “Music and drama have played an important part in the life of the school throughout its history and we are proud to announce this performance.”
Admission to the show is free, although it is by ticket only and those wanting to attend are advised to book their ticket early through the school office.
