Forecasts that this summer would be “hotter than usual” have been confirmed. Average temperatures in Portugal during June were the third hottest since records began (22.34ºC), and nearly 3ºC higher than normal. Only in 2004 (23.25ºC) and 2005 (22.81ºC) were temperatures hotter in June.
