The vast majority of online voters said that they believe that the Câmaras (local councils) in the Algarve are too keen to appease developers at the expense of local residents.

A total of 91 per cent of online voters said they believe that developers’ needs are put before those of residents, while only nine per cent of voters feel Câmaras do not value development at the expense of Algarve residents.
