Judges slam Portuguese for being too personal as petition to oust magistrate tops 190,500

As the public petition for the removal of Judge Ivo Rosa from Portugal’s magistrature (click here) hits over 190,500 signatures, ASJ, the judges’ association, has criticised people for being too personal. Public scrutiny is perfectly legitimate and even healthy, it says, but personal attacks are not. Indeed the association has labelled the brouhaha disseminating over social media as “irrational and unacceptable”.
