Brit gunned down
A MAN opened fire on a group of foreign tourists in Jordan’s capital, Amman, on September 4, killing a British man. Five tourists were also injured when the Jordanian approached them shouting “God is Great” in Arabic before firing 12 rounds. The Jordanian attempted to flee the scene when he ran out of ammunition, but locals managed to overpower him and he was arrested. Anti-terrorist police rushed to the scene and closed off the area in order to carry out a search. Authorities concluded that the man acted alone and was not affiliated with any armed groups.
