Spanish football federation president Angel Maria Villar has announced that a possible joint bid for the 2018 World Cup may be presented to the committee by Portugal and Spain.
“We need to present a strong, consistent and winning bid for the 2018 World Cup. Personally, I think it should be with Portugal,” he said.
Spain believes that the combination of a joint bid and their success at Euro 2008 will help to convince FIFA that they should choose Iberia to host the prestigious sporting event.
