Disgraced art collector and businessman Joe Berardo has lost his first court action against the end of the agreement the State had (or rather, has until the end of this year) for exhibiting art works at Belém Cultural Centre. According to Público, the administrative tribunal of the circle of Lisbon rejected the bid, announced last month. Art works in the Berardo collection have been subject of a lien lodged by three banks trying desperately to recoup loans of almost one billion euros.
