Boca do Rio
The Arade estuary near Mexilhoeira da Carregação in Lagoa hosted some of the best jet ski action ever seen in the Algarve during the last week of July. Organised jointly by Lagoa Câmara, the Portuguese Motonáutica Federation, the Union Internacionale Motonautique, Aquabike and the Boca do Rio Resort, in conjunction with the Clube Náutico do Arade, national, European and world championships were staged in the high-speed sport over the seven days. The exceptional conditions offered by the locality make it likely that this first spectacular will be repeated in the future.
