Since time immemorial, Jenny Grainer has been producing high quality Variety Shows in aid of charity. In spite of personal illness, this year once again she did not disappoint. Last Friday night at the Lagoa Auditorium, a packed house came to see Jenny’s latest offering, which was, as usual, a stunning line up of professional musicians, well-known singers and dancers.
They all gave their time generously for Jenny and the result was a show that was pure pleasure. Any one of the turns could have easily entertained us for a whole evening so it was no wonder there were a few over-runs! We will have to give compere Ian Carfrae a longer walking stick next time around!
A total of €4,390 was raised to build two additional classrooms for a much-needed nursery school in Carvoeiro and to support SOS Oncologia.
Though you said that this was your last event Jenny, we sincerely hope there will be just one more again next year.
