A new campaign to “break with the passivity and indifference” with which Europe’s influx of refugees are being met has got underway in Lisbon, with wristbands being handed out to supporters, with the words “I am also a refugee” printed on them. The bands have been created in solidarity with refugees in Cardiff, Wales, who are being forced to wear special ID bracelets in order to receive meals.
The movement’s first meeting is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5.30pm at Cais das Colunas. If weather is bad, the meeting will be held in arcades alongside Martinho da Arcada, writes noticiasaominuto.
