Last week, following the announcement that hotel and tourism complex occupation levels across the Algarve in 2009 were the worst on record, we asked readers whether they think that the region should return to promoting bucket and spade holidays.
A total of 68 per cent of voters felt that the region should return to promoting affordable family holidays, while 32 per cent disagreed and said that it should not.
