A competition to elect Portugal’s 7 Gastronomic Wonders aims to showcase the country’s best dishes, wine, olive oil or food-related tourist route.
The deadline to sign up is next Wednesday (March 7) and is open to restaurants, hotels, town councils and both public and private entities.
Entitled ‘7 Maravilhas à Mesa’, the initiative aims to promote the best food and beverages that the country has to offer.
Several gala events will be held throughout Portugal between July 22 and September 16 when the grand final will take place.
