Some of the most famous names in international swimming have been confirmed for the fourth International Swimming Meeting to be held in Loulé. The two-day event will commence on June 10 and will take place in the Olympic Complex of Loulé.
Many of the challengers have won World and European competitions, broken records and competed in the Olympics. Many British swimmers will be present and vie for first place in various races as well as attempt to raise their world rankings. Confirmed British swimmers are Mark Foster, James Gibson and Rebecca Cooke, as well as Jason-Lezak from the US.
Loulé Câmara has expressed its pride in hosting the event, which, over the last few years, has grown exponentially. It has “created media importance which will take the name of Loulé further”, especially given that it will be broadcast in seven countries. Luís Ferreira, director general of the competition, has also confirmed that next year will see the expansion of the event from two days to three days. The Câmara hopes that anyone interested will attend the exciting event, cheering on local and international swimmers.
