Every Thursday is Snooker Night at Barringtons from 6pm – free for members and five euros for non-members.

If all those snooker manoeuvres or dancing with the kids has jarred a few bones, then Dr. Chris Ford may be the answer to your prayers. A fully qualified doctor of chiropractic, Chris treats a variety of ailments at his clinic and, in partnership with Barringtons, will be performing Free Chiropractic Spinal Scans and Postural Assessments on Wednesday, March 30 and April 27 from 3pm to 6pm. Please call the reception to make a booking.

If you feel as though you still are no closer to shedding that winter layer, then try Barringtons’ new ‘Young at Heart, Want to Start’ Programme. Designed to encourage the reluctant or older exerciser to start enjoying the benefits of exercise, classes are tailored to gently and safely introduce clients to exercise.

The Easy Fit and Aqua Fit classes are ideal to get you started, while the no-experience-required Pilates and Yoga are the best ways to learn and experience two of today’s most popular forms of exercise.

You can’t escape it even on the golf course as March is Barringtons’ Golf Fitness month. Coaches and therapists will be keeping you on your toes with challenging exercise programmes and routines to improve your overall game and fitness. There is also a fitness and fun package at 520 euros per person per week until June 30, 2005. This includes seven nights’ accommodation, discounted green fees on local courses, two-hour treatments with Barringtons’ range of therapists, the use of two squash courts and much more.

There are After-school Junior Golf classes and a Ladies Clinic, as well as the famous Barringtons Breakfast and Balls on offer throughout the year.
