It is a busy time of year for sure, and The Angels Theatre Group – who entertain for charity – is preparing for the Christmas Market being staged in Almancil on Sunday, December 7.
Jardim das Comunidades will be the setting for a full day of festive activity from 11am until 6pm. There will be stalls selling food and drinks, while mulled wine will help to bring “good cheer”.
Local crafts and art work plus original gifts and decorations will be on sale.
What is special about this market is the free entertainment. Every hour different groups will be singing, dancing and performing.
Members of The Angels Theatre Group will take their Christmas Revue to the stage at 3pm. Included will be seasonal songs and poems delivered by, amongst others, Santa, The Snow Queen and a Christmas Fairy.
The event is being organised by Almancil International Rotary Club and proceeds will benefit the Associação Social e Cultural de Almancil. This group runs residential and day care facilities for the elderly, as well as helping those in distress in the area.
