The Algarve Boxing Association is strongly represented at this week’s European Junior Championships in Dublin.
Two of Portugal’s three-man team hail from the Club Arena Faro – both Sergio Pestana fighting at the 75kg limit and André Sousa (64kg) are given good chances to go far in the competition featuring 16 to 18-year-old prospects representing no less than 38 countries many of whom could well feature at the 2016 Olympic Games.
