Israel ‘eyes medical cannabis growth in Portugal’

Dozens of companies are reported to be ‘interested’ in producing cannabis in Portugal for medicinal purposes. Since the law legalising this kind of production came into force last summer, authorities have been approached by companies from all over the world. The latest, Israel’s Cannbit, has confirmed that it is “examining the possibility of establishing a cannabis farm in Portugal as part of its policy of expansion outside Israel”.

For the time being, Cannbit’s production within Israel is not authorised for export, explains Reuters.
