Municipal company Ambiolhão is organising a clean-up operation at Armona Island tomorrow (Saturday).
The initiative, coordinated by the Foz do Êta Association and supported by public and private entities, aims to get members of the public involved in the cleaning of the island and to raise awareness about the need to respect the environment.
People of all ages can participate on the day. They should go along to the docks in Olhão tomorrow at 8.45am or be at the Armona Island docks at 9.15am. The crossing by boat will be free of charge and all rubbish collection material will be made available to participants.
