Owners Ulf and Maria Christiansson identified a need for a new generation in self-storage in the region. Experienced professionals in commercial property rental and industrial logistics, the aim from the outset was to be located in a key business, transport and tourist hub and to offer the highest level of customer service along with the most secure and highest quality proposition to clients. “After months of searching and evaluating locations and potential properties,” explains Ulf, “we found the optimum home for Securum Self Storage’s first project.”

He explains: “There has never been greater need to service those regular returners and visitors who want easy transit to make life simpler. Clients of Securum Self Storage now have the option to store anything from a few golf bags and suitcases in a neat 1-cubic-metre space or property owners can rent a larger space, storing away private belongings for the lucrative rental season or to just maximise the space you have if family and friends are visiting.”
Securum Self Storage’s founders were uncompromising in their commitment to bring something new and high quality to the Algarve.
“What we found,” explains Maria, “was state-of-the-art remote locking technology from UK storage industry giant Janus International and a keyless storage solution with the cloud-based, block-chain Noke system. This allows independent management of your own storage space and remote access, from wherever you may be in the world, with log-in through an app. So, when our Reception isn’t open and Sílvia, who’s always taking care of our clients, is not on site, your access is not interrupted.”
The reception is open between 9am to 12 noon and 1pm to 5pm. Check-in and access to your storage unit is possible from 6am to 10pm and clients benefit from free parking, trolleys, sack carts, pallet rack and an elevator to our first floor. Packaging materials are available at the reception and can be delivered free of charge to addresses within 25 kilometres of the storage facility, on orders over €100.
With 28 high-definition CCTV security cameras, all monitored by security company Prosegur, Securum Storage can monitor activity and movement both externally and inside the storage facility in the aisles.
