Portimonense recorded their first victory of the new season, albeit in a local friendly. Coach João Bastos was particularly impressed with new signings Sérgio Organista, scorer of the only goal against Lagoa in Parchal, and winger Fabricio.
Fellow recent arrivals Bruno Simão, Djamil Camara, French central defender Tadembo and Loule trialist Gary Bowes also gave satisfactory debuts.
