Goldra Animal Shelter is to receive free internet access from Broadband Algarve from Tavira.
The shelter’s existing internet connection, it says, has been slow and unreliable as well as expensive.
Last year the sanctuary was threatened with closure but thanks to Monty’s Restaurant in Vale do Lobo, a new registered charity was created to purchase part of the original refuge. The sanctuary relies on charitable funding and volunteers.
Stephanie Fletcher from Broadband Algarve said: “We’ll be installing the connection next week. It is our contribution to a deserving recipient.”
