FROM TODAY (May 14) until June 28, the Algarve will be transformed into a music capital of Portugal. The region will play host to 300 international musicians for the 28th edition of the International Music Festival, in association with the Music Association of the Algarve, the Algarve Tourist Board (RTA), the Orquestra do Algarve, the Fundação Pedro Ruivo and the Secretary of State for Tourism.
Organisers have promised that this year’s festival will be the most eclectic yet, livening up local theatres, hotels, auditoriums and cultural centres. Tickets are priced at 10 euros for all events, except for the closing event when front row seats will cost 15 euros. Seats in remaining rows will cost 10 euros. Tickets are on sale at the Algarve Tourist Board offices and at the venues listed above. For more information, telephone 289 800 484/444/441, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.rtalgarve.pt/28fima.
