Lagoa is hosting its second ‘International Guitar Festival’, bringing a variety of talented players to the town until October.
The event began on Sunday (September 13) and will include seven further concerts in and around Lagoa – including anticipated performances by French-Armenian Laurent Boutros (October 25) and popular German acoustic fingerstyle player Peter Finger (October 31) – as well as three masterclasses.
The next performance is by the Ecuadorian Cristobal Pazmiño Trio on Sunday (September 20) at the Adega de Lagoa. A day earlier, Pazmiño will be hosting a masterclass on South American music at the São José convent.
Concerts will be held every Sunday until October 31.
Tickets cost €6 and can be bought at the São José convent or at the venue on the day. Masterclasses are €20 and include admission to the following day’s concert.

The festival is a joint collaboration between the Algarve’s Guitar Association (AGA) and Lagoa council.
