World’s Nº1 Joan Roca is just one of 37 world-leading chefs cooking at this year’s Vila Joya festival.
With 37 chefs making up a total 60 Michelin stars from around the world, the 7th Vila Joya International Gourmet will be the biggest and best yet.
The “Tribute to Claudia” festival, held in memory of the resort’s late founder Claudia Jung, was first held at Vila Joya in 2007 and has become Portugal’s most significant gastronomic event and a gourmet fixture of international importance. This year’s dates are now confirmed, from November 7 to 17, and will see the most amazing line-up of international chefs yet.
Amongst the star attractions is Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca in Spain, who this year knocked Denmark’s Noma off the Nº1 position on the list of the world’s best restaurants. Roca will be cooking his menu at Vila Joya on November 10.
