PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS and friends were invited recently to an International Day Show, performed by students of the lower years of the International Preparatory School (IPS) in Carcavelos. Hawaii, the US, Japan, France, Scotland, Brazil and, of course, Portugal were the countries represented by each of the early years. What a tremendous amount of work went into creating the backdrop and costumes of the differing countries! My favourite had to be Reception Year’s portrayal of Japan as the costumes were so realistic. At the end of the event, guests were invited to taste some of the international food that had been provided by the school, teachers and parents. Bob Hughes
