Portimão’s Intermarché supermarket reopened on Thursday (June 4) after undergoing a €1 million revamp.
The supermarket is now “bigger and better” and boasts several new and improved services, such as a new section of healthy and organic products, an upgraded wine section with a “great variety of national wines” and a new bakery.
There is also a new self-service area, serving grilled chicken, pizzas and other meals, as well as a new snack-bar.
“The revamp reflects our commitment to the local community and our goal of always offering the best products at the best prices,” says Philippe Bourroux, the supermarket’s owner.
“We increased the store’s size, remodelled different sections and strengthened our complementary services thus improving the experience of those who visit us.”
The supermarket now spans a 2,150sqm area and employs over 45 people.
