Supermarket chain Intermarché has donated 58 tonnes of food to the Lisbon and Porto delegations of the Portuguese Food Bank (Banco Alimentar).
The goal is to help Portuguese families overcome the hardships caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Os Mosqueteiros, the group that owns Intermarché, had already donated half a million euros to the national health service (SNS) in a bid to help hospitals face the pandemic.
