Interior of abandoned building in Lisbon collapses

Part of the interior of a large abandoned building in Lisbon’s Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo collapsed on Sunday afternoon. Fears were that there could have been people (squatters) inside, but this seems not to have been the case. Authorities have since erected a safety perimeter around the site, in case the façade, largely decorated with graffiti, comes down as well.
