InterContinental Group takes over Lisbon’s Tiara Park Atlantic

It is a prestige location in the heart of Lisbon, and now it’s part of the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG).
Lisbon’s latest addition to the InterContinental fold is the former Tiara Park Atlantic, situated in Rua Castilho.
Offering 237 deluxe rooms, 78 executive rooms, 16 suites, a fitness studio, 18 meeting rooms and a spacious restaurant and bar, IHG predicts its new InterContinental Lisbon will become “an icon of luxury in Lisbon’s city centre”.
At the helm is one of IHG’s most successful general managers Giuseppe Vincelli who comes into the job after having successfully run two luxury golf resorts in Murcia (Spain), and been general manager at InterContinental Malta.
IHG is one of the world’s largest hotel groups, already boasting 4,700 hotels and 693,000 rooms. According to the group’s publicity department, a further 1,200 hotels are “in the course of being opened” throughout the world.
