According to a study on leading service industry companies in Portugal, carried out by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) and International Faculty for Executives (IFE), insurance companies answer the phone quicker and explain information in an easier way for the general public. Allianz was the best insurance company for 2005.
Finibanco was the most efficient bank on the phone, while water company EPAL was considered the politest and fastest public sector company answering the phone. TNT Express was chosen as the best commercial company and Cabovisão had the best call centre of the telecommunications sector.
