Instant fried egg developed

An instant fried egg is being produced in a prototype machine still in development by Portuguese company Derovo. Zero-fat and individually packed, it is ready for consumption just like a regular fried egg after being heated in a microwave.

The goal is to produce fried eggs which can be packed and stored for a reasonable period of time (three weeks fresh or 18 months frozen) allowing its export to the Muslim target markets. Derovo is currently building a manufacturing complex with capacity for a million chickens and expected yearly production of 290 million eggs.
