GALP energia is to invest 225 million euros in second generation bio fuels by 2010.
Ferreira de Oliveira, Galp executive president, said last week: “We are in a position to be able to move forward with this project. We have been working on alternative fuel production for years, but up until now have only produced and sold first generation bio fuels, such as ethanol and bio diesel. We need to pursue second generation fuels in order to remain competitive, innovative, ecological and profitable.”
