TWO INFORMATION days for expatriates organised by a firm of specialist insurance brokers are being held this month.
Lloyd & White International Ltd, who have been established in the Algarve for more than 16 years, have also enlisted the help of other specialist companies to ensure the event caters for many aspects of life in Portugal, including Blacktower Financial Management, Golden Leaves Funeral Plans and Exeter Friendly Society.
Special guests include WineMine, an Algarve wine merchant, who will be offering complimentary wine tasting, and the Association of Foreign Property Owners in Portugal (AFPOP), who have been serving the foreign residents in Portugal for over 20 years.
“Many of the companies who serve expatriates in Portugal have a wealth of knowledge on how to make the most of a new life, as the majority of us are expatriates ourselves,” Janet Tartaglia, branch manager at Lloyd & Whyte, told The Resident.
“Information Days are an excellent way to pass on a lot of these priceless hints and tips, in an informal and friendly atmosphere.”
The first information day will take place on Tuesday (May 2) at Barringtons Hotel, Vale do Lobo, and the second on Wednesday (May 21) at the Hotel Garbe, in Armação de Pêra, both running from 10am until 4pm. The Information Days are free to attend and there is no need to reserve your place in advance.
