Inflation in Portugal has now exceeded double digits. According to the latest figures released today by INE (national statistics insitute), inflation in October reached 10.2%. This is almost a full percentage point higher than the figures of 9.3% inflation given by INE in September. Today’s announcement is what is known as a preliminary estimate, but this does not mean INE will have got its sums wrong.
