INE statistics institute has today announced yet another rise in inflation (8.7% for the month of June), hitting a new 30-year maximum. Inflation has been rising steadily this year, with the month of May having registered an 8% increase. ECB chief Christine Lagarde has been warning that levels will continue rising “for some time”.
