Pinus Ria Hotel, Quinta do Lago
When visiting the Beauty Club Boutique, you will always be received with a smile and personalised service.
Having been trained in Sweden at the Swedish Beauty Academy, Sandra Pettersson is a qualified beautician, cosmetologist and masseuse who is passionate about her work and making her clients happy with their visit to the Beauty Club in Quinta do Lago.
“Here at the Hotel Pinus Ria, my salon operates with a beauty boutique concept,” said Sandra. “The entire Beauty Club has been decorated and prepared with beauty in mind, including design objects by Artsy Décor, aromas and fresh cut flowers.”
The relaxing and indulgent atmosphere of the Beauty Club is also enhanced by relaxing music, soft candle light and a comfortable ambient temperature.
“The chairs in the treatment rooms are heated and comfortable and the rooms have flat screen televisions where clients can watch relaxing programmes. While having a manicure and pedicure, why not watch Sex and the City, so that they can completely relax without having to speak to the therapist,” said Sandra.
Sandra has an international and multi-lingual team of dedicated professionals to attend to her clients’ every need.
“I have a team of professionals who work with me at the Beauty Club, each with their own speciality,” said Sandra.
Emma Frost, is a British therapist who specialises in eye lash enhancement treatments.
“My company, Eyetec2go, has a concession at Harrods in London which offers the application of individual eye lashes that up to five weeks and give a natural look, without the need for mascara,” said Emma.
Bulgarian beautician and cosmetologist, Iva Andonova, offers clients an extensive range of treatments such as waxing, make-up, gel nails, facials, manicures and much more as well as speaking fluent English and Portuguese.
“As well as providing beauty treatments, I am also studying rehabilitative massage techniques so I can treat clients on the surface as well as within,” said Iva.
Russian sporting athlete and champion weight lifter, Natalia, provides deep tissue massages to her clients.
“Natalia has a good hand and provides wonderful massages,” said Sandra. “Clients prepare themselves with a sauna with body exfoliation then the blood circulation is activated with a eucalyptus broom, followed by a deep tissue massage that leaves clients both relaxed and revitalised.”
Brazilian manicurist and pedicurist Claudia Christ offers a fantastic and professional service as well as speaking fluent English and Portuguese.
“Prior to coming to the Beauty Club, Claudia worked at the Quinta do Lago hotel for seven years and is very experienced in her field,” said Sandra.
Dr João Beles is a naturopath, herbal medicine specialist and acupuncturist also works at the Beauty Club along with Dr Oscar Dias, who carries out medical beauty treatments such as Botox, laser hair removal and others.
Being a qualified beautician herself, Sandra provides her clients with a range of services, however her signature treatment are her facials.
“Since my facials last between one-and-a-half to two hours and are extremely relaxing for clients, I always offer a free manicure to my clients” she said. “I use the Guinot brand of facial products from Paris because these are of excellent quality and also provide desirable results.”
As well as indulging in beauty and relaxation treatments, clients may also take advantage of the Beauty Club’s neighbouring personal training centre.
“We work together and complement each other, so our clients can benefit from beauty therapy, massage and fitness,” said Sandra.
