JYSKE BANK has put together a team dedicated to making sure that new private-banking clients feel that they are well taken care of when they join the Bank.
With effect from March this year, it will say Business Development Manager on Michael Sero’s business card. In his new capacity, he and his team will develop the business by increasing the focus on welcoming new clients – primarily expatriates in the Costa del Sol and in the Algarve.
“I am really looking forward to it. I have a number of good contacts down here, and I look forward to explaining all our unique characteristics to our new clients,” he said.
Typically, Michael Sero will meet new clients in connection with some of the Bank’s client events, such as golf tournaments. But rather than talking about the potential client’s personal finances on the golf course, it is much more convenient for everyone involved to meet in private. He will, therefore, often visit the client at home and explain the Bank’s private banking and property financing products.
“It comes as a surprise to many of our clients that we offer personal and individual investment advice. The majority of our clients are really pleased that we are different and informal – quite in keeping with the Danish culture. And they feel well taken care of,” Michael Sero said.
The new Business Account Manager is 34-years-old and has worked in the banking sector for the past 13 years. In 1996, he signed a contract with Jyske Bank and, after three years in the southern part of Denmark, he moved to Gibraltar where he has become quite familiar with the area.
Michael Sero lives in Sotogrande in Spain with his wife Nanna and their three children, Nikolaj, 9, Jonathan, 7, and Naja, who was born in Gibraltar three years ago.
