The Inaugural Goldra Charity Golf Day is taking place on Sunday, September 7, in association with Pinheiros Altos, Quinta do Lago and Nelitos Bar & Restaurant in Almancil.
The Individual Stableford Competition starts from 8am at Pinheiros Altos with prizes for first, second and third places, as well as for nearest the pin and longest drive.
While the tournament takes place, volunteers from The New Goldra Dog Sanctuary will be at Nelitos from 12 noon, manning the Goldra Fayre with stalls of local produce, from soaps to freshly-baked goods and from bric-a-brac to books.
This will then be followed by a three-course lunch from 2pm, during which the prize-giving ceremony will take place. There will be raffles, auctions and much more.
The Charity Golf Day, which organisers hope will become an annual event, aims to raise much-needed funds for The New Goldra Dog Sanctuary.
Cost for the golf tournament and lunch is €70 while non-golfers attending the lunch only will pay €25.
