In the news again

ONCE AGAIN, Sean Hawker, son of Carl Hawker, MD of Prosecom, and grandson of John Hawker, founder of Golf for Greys, made his mark representing Vilamoura. This time by winning the ninth Troféu de Vilamoura Junior Champion 2005, shooting a 69 / 66 / = 9 under par gross, over a two-day period.

Sean, at 17 years of age, is now playing off a scratch handicap. Many clubs submitted teams of junior players under the age of 18 years, and Spain in particular was well represented.

Added to this achievement is the fact that Sean recently broke the course record at Vale de Pinta, the prestige Pestana course in Carvoeiro, with a six under par (64). Sean requested that we express his thanks for the support that he has received from Vilamoura, Pestana and Morgado golf courses.

Ricardo Santos, playing in the seniors, had a record round for Vilamoura Laguna course of 11 under par.
