I do not share Valerie Fulford’s opinion. I do not believe that the McCanns are the sort of people who would be prepared, in any sense of that word, to surreptitiously dispose of their own daughter’s body at short notice in an unfamiliar place, as the Amaral scenario would require them to be. Nor do I believe that a convicted perjuror, as Amaral is, makes a reliable source of the real truth about what happened.
