IMF heavyweights Subir Lall, Albert Jaeger and Poul Thomsen have put Portugal under the microscope and come up with a 120-page book called From Crisis to Convergence – Charting a Course for Portugal. Due to be presented on Wednesday at the Universidade de Lisboa, it claims 20% of the workforce is unused (meaning unemployed) and that unemployment still remains one of the country’s greatest challenges, along with “high sustained growth”.
