An interactive, illustrated talk by acclaimed international speaker and NASA engineer Paul S. Bookout, Ph.D. Mechanical/Aerospace, will take place on Thursday, April 13 in the hall (Salão) behind Luz Church, in Praia da Luz (Lagos), at 6pm. This will be an opportunity to learn about NASA’s new SLS Rocket and space plans.
Paul Bookout, PhD, is recently retired from NASA, and has purchased a new home in Portugal with plans to make a permanent transition to Luz.
His last several years at NASA were spent working with small satellites installed on the first launch of NASA’s Artemis I Mission using their new Space Launch System rocket, which took place in November 2022.
Throughout his career, Paul worked on many programs, but his favourites are the development of the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle Program, and developing deep space habitat concept mock-ups.
Tickets cost €20 per adult/€10 per child including a welcome drink and cold buffet.
