Illegal land works were detected by the nature and environmental protection branch of Portimão GNR in a protected area in Morgado de Arge, near Alvor estuary, on December 4.
The GNR found that the work was being carried out without the necessary authorisation.
A spokesman from the GNR told Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã that a legal notification has been issued to those responsible.
