A NOS movie complex with eight “state-of the-art” theatres and 41 new stores have been announced for IKEA’s Mar Shopping Algarve, set to open next summer in Loulé.
The mall’s food court will boast a selection of popular chains, such as h3, Vitaminas & Ca., Wok to Walk, Hanami Sushi, Talho Burger, Talho de Mercado, Häagen-Dazs and Hussel.
Also confirmed are two décor stores, Loja do Gato Preto and Bairro Arte.
Fashion outlets set to open include Decimas, Deichman, Foreva, Giovanni Galli, Inside, Knot, Mike Davis, Misako, OVS, Pandora, Parfois, Salsa, Springfield, Tous, Woman Secret and Zippy.
In terms of cosmetics, the mall will include Jean Louis David, Pluriscosmética and Rituals e Stenders shops as well as healthy eating outlet Celeiro Dieta.
Jewellery and watches will be on sale at Joyeria Jose Luis, Time Road and Casio. There will also be a Vodafone outlet, a Centroxogo toy shop, Ornimundo (pets), and a Viagens Abreu travel agency.
NovaCâmbios will offer money exchange, while Opticalia will carry optician-related items.
From a commercial point of view, Ana Machado – head of IKEA’s European marketing – says the project has been a success.
She added that the company is in the final stages of concluding negotiations with national and international brands who want to open at the mall.
Among stores already confirmed are Primark, Mango, C&A, Punt Roma, Sfera, Tiffosi, Aromas and Sephora, as well as a number of brands owned by the Inditex Group (Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Zara Home, Pull & Bear, Oysho, Lefties and Massimo Dutti).
Mar Shopping will also feature a Pingo Doce supermarket and a Worten electronic goods outlet.
