An Iberian lynx training and recovery centre which was completed in 2019 at the Iberian lynx reproduction centre in Silves was finally presented to the public on Tuesday by the Portuguese Institute for Nature and Forest Conservation (ICNF).
The recovery centre helps understand whether the centre’s lynxes are ready to be released into the wild, as well as welcome and treat any injured lynxes from the wild.
The event was preceded by the release of two more lynxes into the wild in Alcoutim.
