ONE OF the 13 construction companies and consortiums that have submitted bids to construct the new Iberian Lynx reproduction centre in Silves will soon be chosen by Águas do Algarve, the water company in charge of the project.
Construction on the centre at Herdade das Santinhas is expected to start in January 2008.
The reproduction centre, which is expected to be complete by December 31, 2008, is part of an environmental project to counteract the negative effects caused by the new Odelouca dam in Silves.
