A new series of original acrylic paintings and photographic prints by Alyson and Dave Sheldrake is showing in the Algarve this month at the Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra.
Entitled Portugal 365, the exhibition is based upon Dave’s recently completed Facebook project of the same name and will be showcasing his 12 favourite photographs from this year-long project – one for each month of the year.
Showing a wide range of images, from golden beaches, sunsets, fishing boats, local characters and crumbling old windows, the exhibition shows the diverse range of scenes and objects we know and love across the Algarve.
The exhibition will also have a range of original acrylic paintings by Alyson, which have been inspired by Dave’s photographs. Alyson’s work has been described as “fun and colourful, with a strong design element” and the paintings are vibrant, eye-catching and original.
The exhibition will run from September 21 to 26 from 10am to 7.30pm each day. Prices for photographic prints start from €15 and paintings from €65.
