For the third year running, the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA) is organising a Solidarity Human Ribbon tomorrow (Saturday) in Praia da Rocha.
From 10am, participants will form a pink ribbon right on the beach to help raise awareness of breast and skin cancer, followed by a fitness class at 11am.
Hoping to bring together 1,000 people, the event aims to raise funds to build the Casa Flor das Dunas in Faro, a residential home for cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy.
Registration costs €2 and can be made until August 10 at the municipal market in Portimão, Continente shopping centre, Barlavento hospital and the Onda Solta stand in Praia da Rocha.
