A human foetus believed to be around 20 weeks old was found in Vila Real de Santo António’s wastewater filter system on Friday (August 7) at around 7pm.
The shocking discovery was made by an employee of the local secondary school’s lift station, according to SIC Notícias.
PSP police were contacted before the case was handed over to PJ criminal police. Meantime, the foetus is due to undergo an autopsy.
