HPP Saúde private healthcare group opened its first hospital in Albufeira on August 2.
The modern facility, staffed by a multilingual medical team, consists of 12 consulting rooms, two treatment and minor surgery rooms, three operating theatres, 26 medical-surgical beds, observation rooms and an ambulatory surgical unit.
Located in the Montechoro area, the HPP unit is fully equipped to perform speciality consultations such as anaesthesiology, 24-hour care, cardiology, general and family medicine, dermatology, stomatology, gastroenterology, gynaecology, dentistry, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopaedics, paediatrics, rheumatology and urology.
In a statement, the HPP group said: “With this new unit, HPP Saúde strengthens its commitment to being a flexible organisation, while offering high levels of technology, thus consolidating the position of the group within the Algarve.”
Director of HPP in the Algarve, Paulo Neves said: “In times of crisis we are available to boost employment, the economy and provision of quality health care. We believe that the tourist capital of the Algarve deserves to have a hospital.”
Throughout the first 11 days of operation, the new Albufeira HPP hospital has served more than 500 people and created 70 new jobs.
